Following the release of Corda 1.0 in early October and the delivery of a stable API, allowing developers to build on Corda with confidence, we are proud to continue the Corda journey with the release of Corda 2.0

In addition to minor security and bug fixes, Corda 2.0 delivers the addition of Observer Node functionality. This feature allows transactions to be forwarded to third parties such as relevant regulators for addition to their vaults. More information on this can be found in the Corda documentation, while a demonstration of the functionality is provided in the Crowdfunding sample.

The addition of new functionality to the API (without breaking any existing APIs, of course) means a major version number bump for this release, from 1 to 2, something we expect will happen regularly.
